Hello There! I'm Kayleigh. A Twenty something adult from the heart of Sussex, just along the south coast of England. Thank you for taking a look at my corner of the internet. I love Books, Tea, Plants, White Wine, Home Interior and everything Disney! On my blog, you'll find lots of lifestyle posts on being an actual adult . . . anyone else feel like they aren't responsible enough? Adulthood is a journey that we are constantly learning new lessons or gaining new experiences as well as dealing with the struggles we may face. I'm a huge believer in positivity and trying to find the positive in a situation rather than focusing on the negative of the situation. I struggle with anxiety, I know what it's like to live with a head full of worries as well as the ongoing battles you face. If you want to know more, just let me know and thank you for taking a look around!

BOOK REVIEW || The Dark Heroine by Abigail Gibbs

During a trip to Waterstones, I discovered this book. Now I know you should ever judge a book by it's cover but I simply loved the front of the book and after a quick read of the blurb, I knew it was a book I wanted to read.

One moment can change your life forever.

For Violet Lee, a chance encounter on a darkened street draws her into a world beyond her wildest imaginings,  a timeless place of vast elegance and immeasurable wealth-where a decadent group of friends live for pleasure alone.  A place from where there is no escape . . . No matter how hard Violet tries.

Yet all the riches in the world can't mask the darkness that lies beneath the glided surface,  embodied in the charismatic but dangerous Kaspar Varn.

Violet and Kaspar surrender to a passion that transcends their separate worlds-but it's a passion that comes with a price.

My View

I couldn't put this book down. I found myself reading this whenever I could. To begin with I wanted Violet to escape and go back to her world but as the story went on and more secrets are revealed I thought maybe there was a reason she was there and she wasn't taken by accident. I'm not usually one for fantasy novels and vampires aren't really my thing but I completely loved this story! Honestly I cannot give this book enough praise and I can't wait to start the second book!
