Thing I love to do or visit in Sussex
    Learn more
Hello There! I'm Kayleigh. A Twenty something adult from the heart of Sussex, just along the south coast of England. Thank you for taking a look at my corner of the internet. I love Books, Tea, Plants, White Wine, Home Interior and everything Disney! On my blog, you'll find lots of lifestyle posts on being an actual adult . . . anyone else feel like they aren't responsible enough? Adulthood is a journey that we are constantly learning new lessons or gaining new experiences as well as dealing with the struggles we may face. I'm a huge believer in positivity and trying to find the positive in a situation rather than focusing on the negative of the situation. I struggle with anxiety, I know what it's like to live with a head full of worries as well as the ongoing battles you face. If you want to know more, just let me know and thank you for taking a look around!

Delete Buttoning Life!!

For the past couple of weeks, I've sat down to write and nothings come out. I write a sentence or two then delete it cause it sounds crap! And then do it all over again the next day.

Man, I hate writers block.

So this is me, casually sat with my laptop, writing to you.

I've come to the conclusion that life can be crap sometimes. People or situations you find yourself in, can make you feel like poo!

I've been in many situations where I've felt like I just don't want to get out of bed in the morning and hiding away from the world seems like the best idea. The same could be the same about people. It would be nice if we had a delete button like the one on my laptop. Delete all the people and situations you don't want to deal with from our lives. Even to delete the past, mistakes we've made or things we regret.

But unfortunately life isn't like that and we don't have a delete button!!

One thing I've realised is that we learn from the past, our regrets or mistakes. Situations we tried to escape from, people we've fallen out with. And we move on, hoping we've learnt. Hoping we know better. Trying not to be too trusting, not letting people get to us, no matter how hard they try. keeping your head held high no matter who's talking about you behind your back. Allowing your self to have a slice of cake after a stressful day at work.

The trick is, not to let life get you down.

Don't let the buggers get you down!!

Don't let those people hold you back from getting where you want to in life.

Don't allow silly mistakes keep you from moving on because you don't deserve to.

Don't allow peoples comments about you make you think that's who you are as a person.

The more you let silly things get to you, the more you'll never get on with your life.

So what the girl you used to be best friends with is trying to get to you by making you jealous with her new friends, So what, let her. Just move on.

The situation that you dealt with last year is keeping you from living your life. Will you allow it?

It's how you deal with these situations. Sometimes we need to learn, grow and decide what we want our lives to mean or what kind of person we want to be. I'm still learning everyday, I don't know all the answers to life just what I think or what I've experienced. But I'm continuously learning not to let things get to me or get me down. And the more I get on with life, the more I discover that it's easier said than done. It's about how we deal with things that happen in our everyday lives and how we decide what impact they will have on our lives. Sometimes the bad things that happen in life turn out to be the best things and we realise that going through it all, we've learnt a lot. Whether you become a better person or learn that you need to not let things or people get to you. It's your life and it's your choice how you live it. Life is short and we need to make the most of everyday and the time we have. You never know whats around the corner. Don't keep wanting to use that delete button no matter how tempting it may be!!

Hoping to inspire you, I leave you with my favourite quote . . .
