BOOK REVIEW|| One Moment, One Morning by Sarah Rayner

Blurb

The 7.44 train from Brighton to London. Carriages packed with commuters. One woman occupies her time observing the people around her.

Opposite, a girl applies her make up.

Across the aisle, a husband strokes his wife's hand.

Further along, a woman flicks through a glossy magazine.

Then, abruptly,  everything changes: a man collapses, the train is stopped, an ambulance called. And for three passengers that particular morning, life will never be the same again.

My View

They say never judge a book by it's cover but as it stood on the shelf it called to me. Maybe it was just the tea cups in the cover. I read the blurb and knew I would take an interest in this book. The first chapter is devastating and (spoiler!) when Karen's husband unexpectedly dies of a heart attack on the train the plot finds a way of including two other characters Lou and Anna who also are on the same train to London. Both two have there own struggles with everyday life and personal problems. As fate would have it, the three are linked and joined and friendship is formed!

Brilliant book, I like the way the author used the three different view to tell the story and throughout the plot you read and hear of there side of the story. Definitely a book to read.
