Country walk in Sussex

I guess today is farewell

I shall miss writing you these letters January but I know you'll return again next year

But instead of feeling sad, January

I shall simply tell you about my country walk.

Today January, I was taken to Loxwood.

A quiet little village on the edge Billingshurst
Tiernan parked up and our adventure.

Hand in hand we walked down by the canal

and for once January, I knew what Sundays where for.

Could it be that I like my country walks

or is simply because I'm a hopeless romantic

and love a romantic country walks with the man that I love.

I guess January, time will tell.

I felt like I had gone back in time today

to days where I'd watch Rosie and Jim and laugh at the tv

and being by the canal brought memories back

to days where I was younger and care free.

I discovered my love for old little cottages

taken from the pages of old fairytale books

and hidden away in Loxwood.

One thing I discovered is how much I dislike mud

I love a good walk with Tiernan where we can hold hands and walk for miles

but walk across a muddy field isn't my idea of fun

I guess I need to become more prepared for Winter wonderland walks January.

January, this isn't the end.

I've come to realise that things are simply just beginning

new adventures, new hopes, new dreams

and January, you're the one who made them begin.

Instead of biding you farewell

I'm simply thanking you January.

This isn't farewell.
